Honey Dew Smoothie Bowl

On a cold, dark, February morning, the sky still pitch black, I searched the refrigerator for breakfast as I read all the emails that came in overnight. Cereal, toast, oats. Everything was so brown and made that moment feel even colder. As I opened the fridge, shots of bright colors appeared, greens, red, yellows blues and corals. FRESH. FRUIT. To the left of my eye, a bag of GRANOLUST appeared in white lights, looking angelic on the countertop. And it came to me, a Granolust’ Honey Dew Smoothie Bowl. And at that moment, it felt like July.

Real talk, fresh fruit is the most magical thing to eat for breakfast. It makes the day as a sweet as the inner fruit. What makes fruit taste even better, is Granolust’ crunchy, nutty chunks. Granolust has these entire cashews, pumpkin seeds and clusters of granola which adds an earthy tone to the sweetness of your soon-to-be breakfast.

First, you’ll want to start with a ripe Melon Dew, one with a vibrant green interior. Cut it into slices and then into chunks, removing the flesh and placed in a blender. Puree that sweet baby until it comes out smooth. While it’s pureeing, slice up your chosen fruits. We chose the sweetest blueberries, ruby red strawberries, silky smooth mangoes, and gorgeous papayas. Best of all, we got to try Dragon Fruit! Of course, there was a dusting of shredded coconuts. Pour the Melon Dew into 2 bowls and fill half way. Align your fruits the way you want and grab a heaping handful (or two) of Granolust Triple Nut Crunch. Sprinkle your coconut and Bonne Appetit!

Recipe:

1 Small Melon Dew, cut into cubes

1 Papaya, chopped into blocks

1 Mango, cut into small pieces

1⁄2 Cup Strawberries, sliced

1⁄2 Blueberries

1 Dragon Fruit, sliced

1⁄8 Cup Unsweetened Coconut

1 Cup Triple Nut Crunch Granolust

Directions:

  1. In a blender, add melon dew cubes. Blend on “Smoothie” function, or until completely pureed.
  2. While the melon dew is pureeing, slice all fruits into appropriate sizes.
  3. Divide melon dew smoothie into 2 equal portions.
  4. Top with strawberries, papaya, blueberries, dragon fruit and mango.
  5. Sprinkle coconut and top with Granolust granola.

Enjoy! xoxo.
